Embrace the spirit of giving this holiday season with the Amara Christmas Giving Tree!
AVID is teaming up with The Property Industry Foundation to set up a giving tree across selected Queensland communities from Wednesday 08 November to Saturday 09 December, allowing residents to donate gifts in support of Act for Kids.
Act for Kids is a for-purpose organisation that delivers evidence-based professional therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced or are vulnerable to harm. With your support, we can make their holiday season a little brighter!
How can you help make a difference?
STEP ONE: Purchase a gift appropriate for any age between 1-18 years (see below for a list of gift ideas). Please do not donate harmful products (including plastic toy knives, swords or foam dart guns).
STEP TWO: Please avoid wrapping the gifts but you are welcome to use the Christmas gift bags that are available for collection from the Sales and Information Centre. Don’t forget to write a card with a Christmas message for the recipient’s family to open.
STEP THREE: Visit Amara Sales & Information Centre and find our decorated Christmas tree.
STEP FOUR: Place the gift under the tree.
As we celebrate this special time of year, it’s important to remember a small act of kindness can make a big difference in a child’s life. Let’s come together as a community this Christmas, embrace a season of generosity and put a smile on those who need it most.
